Yamataka Jindaizakura is a tree of the Edohigan cherry tree in the Jissoji precinct in Hokuto-shi, Yamanashi. An age of the tree is estimated at about 2000.
About 10.3 m of tree height and about 11.8 m of root circumference. It’s a maximum Edohigan cherry tree in the oldest in Japan. During 2000, never, it’s said that they have made a flower bloom without resting. There are Kamakura era and a legend which was revived when Nichiren saw this tree declining, and I hoped. It was authorized by a national natural monument in 1922. It was designated as new Japanese distinguished tree hundred pieces in 1990.
