Settsu-kyo is spread in Akutagawa upper reaches which flow through Takatsuki-shi, Osaka. In 1938, it’s designated in a scenic spot in Osaka-fu. A ravine and the west coast are the Settsu-kyo park Takatsuki-shi manages. It’s established in 1956, the area is 42.58 hectares.
It’s learned about widely as a famous place of a salted cherry leave and colored leaves. 3000 Someiyoshino cherry trees are planted. “Settsu-kyo cherry tree festival” is held at the beginning of April every year.
There are a strangely shaped rock, a cliff and a waterfall in a river over about 4 km. The way along a valley stream is popular in a hiking trail.
