Sapporo snow festival is a festival of the snow and the ice by which the beginning of February is held for 7 days every year. It’s performed at more than one meeting place such as Odori Park in Sapporo-shi, Hokkaido.
It has started taking a high school student’s in the localness installing 6 statues of snow in Odori Park in 1950 as a start. I held snowballing, a statue of snow exhibition and a carnival and was about 50,000 turnouts. I’ll settle for a citizen as that and a winter event in Sapporo.
An image of the big and small made with snow and ice is exhibited at a meeting place of Odori Park. An ice image (ice sculpture) is exhibited at a Susukino meeting place. A tourist as much as approximately 2,000,000 people visits from a various part of Japan and foreign countries. It’s one of the events largest in scale in Hokkaido.
