Nara-Park

Nara Park is the effective park in Nara-shi, Nara. It opens on February 14, 1880. The surrounding Kofuku-ji, Todai-ji, Kasuga taisha and Nara National Museum, when it’s included, the total area comes to approximately 660 hectares (about 4 kilometers of east and west and about 2 kilometers of north and south).

There are about 1100 friendly deer in the park. Of the god by which this deer is Kasuga-taisha, usage, and, the wild deer which are a historical origin and a national natural treasure.

A cherry tree can be enjoyed in spring, and colored leaves can be enjoyed in autumn. It’s dotted with many national treasure designation and world’s cultural and natural heritage in the park, and many tourists visit through the year.
