Lake Mashu is the lake in Teshikaga-cho, Kawakami-gun, Hokkaido. It’s in the Akan National Park. Volcanic lake made from Mashu volcano eruption. The clarity is high in the 2nd following Lake Baykal in the world at the most expensive lake in Japan.
A cliff of 300-400m and Mashu mountain like an old castle are distributed and Nakashima is floated on the center of a lake. The color of the surface of the lake on the day which often cleared up is called “Mashu blue”. A song called “Mashu-ko Lake of fog” hits in Japan in 1960 ‘s, and I’m strong in the image wrapped in thick fog.
