Kurasiki Bikan Area is the conservation of historical town area in Kurashiki-shi, Okayama and sightseeing district.
When being set as a royal precinct in Shogunate Government of Edo in 1642, it could be provided for the this place ward at the storage charge deputy official. A residence and a storehouse on a white wall sea cucumber wall equaled a highway stretch on Tsuru Katayama south side from a ridge on a storage charge river. It was selected as important preservation district of historic buildings in 1979.
The willow row of trees, the white wall and the sea slug wall which rustle in a wind can see a beautiful contrast, and beauty of the traditional Japanese construction is often left. There are also much cultural facilities mingeikan and an archaeology house including Ohara Museum of Art where worldwide masterpieces were collected.
