Korakuen

Korakuen is the Japanese garden in Okayama-shi, Okayama Kita-ku. It’s the tour garden ranked as a Three Great Gardens of Japan according to Kairakuen in Mito and Kenroku-en in Kanazawa and is a national designation special scenic spot.

Tsunamasa Ikeda of Okayama seigneur ordered Nagatada Tsuda and made them make, and I begin in 1687, bet the time of 14 years and have completed it in 1700. About 133,000 squares of mountain of Okayama-jo and the neighborhood is made shakkei at a garden of the Izumi Ike migration system of m. Plum, cherry tree and azalea are beautiful in spring, and a floral calamus and a lotus are beautiful in summer.
