Kokura-Castle

Kokura castle is the castle which was in present Kokurakita-ku, Kitakyushu-shi, Fukuoka. A castle was built by Tadaoki Hosokawa in 1602, but I burned down by a battle. The present donjon was restored in 1959.

It’s learned about as Meijo of the outward appearance structure which connects with a watchtower in early stage Tenshu “Karadukuri”. There is a reference library, diorama of using 1500 Japanese paper dolls in a castle town and a mechanism theater in the interior. There is Kokura castle garden in the next, and it’s learned about as a famous place of a cherry tree.
