Shrine where Ikiko-jinja is enshrined in Momiyamamachi, Kanuma-shi, Tochigi. The crying sumo offered up to an annual festival in September is famous.

Child’s healthy growth is prayed, and it’s a held strange custom event. It’s said that it was performed in 1861-1864.

A parishioner turns it and acts a sumo wrestler of the form in a sumo ring in a precinct in Ikiko-jinja. I hold an infant comrade from eastern and western sumo ring, raise over head as well as a shout highly and make them wrestle, and the way where I cried first is made a win. Many infants participate from the Tochigi-ken inside and outside of the country.
