Entsu-in

Entsu-in is a temple of the Rinzai Zen Sect Myoshin-ji party in Matsushima-machi, Miyagi-gun, Miyagi. Common name “rose temple”.

It was a family temple of Date Mitsumune who died in early life by 19 years old and was established in 1647. Sankeiden which is Mitsumune’s mausoleum is designated as a national important cultural asset.

“Matchmaking Kannon” calls a topic in recent years, and a worship visitor finds the good match, and visits from a various part of Japan. Countryside weed and a rose can enjoy the landscape of the each season at a precinct which consists of 4 gardens, and it’s also often used as a location place of a movie and a television. The colored leaves performed in autumn every year are lit up.
