Daigo-ji is the temple in Daigohigashiojicho, Fushimi-ku, Kyoto-shi, Kyoto. Daigo-ji has a vast precinct beyond 200milion tsubo in Mt. Daigo spread in the Fushimi-ku east.
The Emperor Daigo builds Yakushido in 907. Shakado will be completed in 926 and the five-storied pagoda has been completed in 951.
It’s famous as Daigo’s cherry tree in particular, and it’s said that Toyotomi Hideyoshi went see the cherry blossoms here, too. The colored leaves are also beautiful in autumn and it’s possible to enjoy a flower through 1 year.
